I remember my grandmother and mother telling me about the light and crispy churros they would enjoy on Sunday mornings as a family tradition in Spain.
They would describe how the “churrero” would use his shoulder to squeeze out the thick dough into the fryer, in “lazos” or loops… a beautiful process that has been around for centuries.
Myself, my husband, and my kids decided to take a trip to Spain to taste and learn about these delicious churros. Nothing we had back in California could rival the crisp texture, rich taste, and wholesome ingredients of this Spanish dessert.
So we made it our mission to bring this unique and flavorful creation to the San Francisco Bay Area, keeping all the ingredients, equipment, and processes authentic to the Spanish tradition.
